About
The Council provides a comprehensive platform for networking, business development, and community engagement through an active calendar of business forums, social events, and information-sharing initiatives. With a recent unity agreement with the Australian Business Group Abu Dhabi (AusBG), the ABC has further strengthened its ability to serve members across the entire UAE, amplifying opportunities and expanding the collective impact of the Australian business community.
Membership is open to a diverse range of stakeholders including Australian citizens and their partners, local branches and agents of Australian companies, organizations with business relationships with Australia, alumni of Australian universities in the UAE, and Emirati companies. The ABC facilitates meaningful connections across over 50 industry sectors, offering members access to exclusive networking events, government and industry liaison support, member-to-member offers including preferential Emirates airfares, marketing opportunities, and an online membership directory—all designed to help Australian individuals and businesses thrive in the UAE market.
Mission & Mandate
The Australian Business Council Dubai aims to support and nurture the Australian community in the UAE through active engagement, strategic partnerships, and meaningful connections that drive both business success and community cohesion.
Core Objectives:
• Foster networking and collaboration among Australian businesses, professionals, and community members across the UAE and GCC region
• Facilitate business development through access to industry forums, government bodies, and key stakeholders in the UAE market
• Represent member interests and advocate on behalf of the Australian business community to government departments and regulatory organizations
• Strengthen bilateral trade and economic relationships between Australia and the UAE, particularly in light of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA)
• Provide members with valuable resources including exclusive events, member offers, marketing opportunities, and an extensive business directory
• Support the broader Australian expatriate community through social events, information sharing, and community-building initiatives including programs like AusKick (AFL Middle East)
