About

The Netherlands Business Council UAE (NBC) is a non-profit organization established in 1997 by the Netherlands Consulate and a group of prominent Dutch businessmen. Operating under the umbrella of Dubai Chamber and licensed under UAE law, the NBC serves as the officially recognized representative body of Dutch companies and individuals conducting business in Dubai and the Northern Emirates.

With a membership base of approximately 200 entrepreneurs, managers, and executives spanning diverse industries, the NBC provides a vital platform for the Dutch business community to network, collaborate, and advance their commercial interests in the UAE. The organization has evolved from a small group of pioneering entrepreneurs into a financially self-sufficient association that plays a significant role in fostering bilateral economic relations between the Netherlands and the UAE.

The NBC facilitates business development through an active events calendar featuring over 30 annual networking opportunities, industry-focused workshops, and knowledge-sharing sessions. These initiatives enable members to connect with like-minded professionals, engage with business councils across the GCC region, and access valuable market insights. Through its partnerships with Dubai Chambers, the Netherlands Embassy and Consulate General, and various sector-specific working groups, the NBC continues to strengthen the economic ties between the two nations while supporting the growth and success of Dutch enterprises in the UAE market.

Mission & Mandate

The Netherlands Business Council UAE is committed to providing a platform where members can network in a pro-active manner with each other, as well as with business people and authorities in the UAE, while promoting the interests of the Dutch business community.

Core Objectives:

• Business Networking & Collaboration: Facilitate meaningful connections among Dutch entrepreneurs, managers, and executives operating across diverse industries in the UAE

• Bilateral Economic Relations: Strengthen commercial ties between the Netherlands and the UAE through strategic partnerships and joint initiatives

• Knowledge Exchange & Market Insights: Organize 30+ annual events, workshops, and networking opportunities to share industry expertise and UAE market intelligence

• Member Advocacy & Representation: Serve as the official representative body for Dutch companies and individuals before UAE authorities and government entities

• Sustainability & Innovation: Support Dutch companies in delivering sustainable solutions through initiatives like the Dutch Sustainability Group

• Community Building: Foster mutual awareness, cultural cooperation, and information exchange between the Netherlands and UAE business communities
