About

The New Zealand Business Council (NZBC) is a non-profit business organization established in 2019 under the auspices of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry. As the 50th country-specific business council formed by Dubai Chamber, NZBC serves as the premier networking platform for New Zealand businesses, professionals, and expatriates operating across Dubai and the Northern Emirates.

With a membership of approximately 100 companies spanning diverse sectors including healthcare, legal services, education, agriculture, food and beverage, hospitality, tourism, and aviation, NZBC plays a vital role in strengthening bilateral economic ties between the UAE and New Zealand. The Council operates under the patronage of the New Zealand Consul General Dubai and Trade Commissioner for UAE, Qatar, and the Levant, ensuring strong governmental and diplomatic support.

NZBC facilitates meaningful business connections through regular networking events, both in-person and online, while providing members with access to a comprehensive business directory, exclusive member events, and direct connections to New Zealand Trade and Enterprise in Dubai. The Council also maintains strong ties with the New Zealand Middle East Business Council, creating a seamless network for businesses operating between the two regions. With non-oil trade between Dubai and New Zealand reaching approximately AED 2 billion annually, NZBC serves as a critical facilitator for companies looking to expand their presence and forge strategic partnerships in one of New Zealand's most important trading regions.

Mission & Mandate

The New Zealand Business Council is dedicated to growing and nurturing personal and professional relationships among members and New Zealand owned or operated companies in Dubai and the Northern Emirates.

Core Objectives:

• Provide a platform for members to exchange information and experiences, and to communicate and interact with public and private entities in the UAE through meetings, gatherings, seminars, conferences, and networking events

• Promote New Zealand commercial and business interests in the UAE and encourage economic and commercial activities, investments, and initiatives between New Zealand and the UAE

• Encourage mutual awareness, exchange of information, and cultural cooperation between the UAE and New Zealand

• Contribute to the development of mutual commercial, economic, cultural, technical, and sporting relationships between New Zealand and the UAE

• Organize events to reinforce and improve the image of New Zealand in the UAE

• Facilitate connections between members, New Zealand Trade & Enterprise in Dubai, and the New Zealand Middle East Business Council

• Support members through business development opportunities, job board services, promotional opportunities, and access to inter-business council meetings and events
