About

The Oman Business Council for Dubai and Northern Emirates is a non-profit organization established in 2014 and officially recognized by the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry. As the first Business Council from the GCC region to operate under the Dubai Chamber umbrella, it holds a unique position in facilitating and strengthening business ties between Oman and the UAE. The Council currently comprises 18 member organizations representing diverse economic sectors including investments, petroleum and petrochemical trading, engineering, construction, real estate development, retail, food and beverage, industry, IT, and banking services.

The Council serves as a vital platform connecting entrepreneurs, enterprises, and stakeholders across both countries, providing them with essential tools and resources for business success. Members benefit from exclusive access to market insights, regulatory guidance, and strategic networking opportunities that enhance their competitiveness in the regional business landscape. By unifying diverse industries and fostering dialogue between the private sector and government entities, the Council contributes significantly to Dubai's economic development and the strengthening of bilateral trade relations.

With Oman ranking 17th among Dubai's trading partners and over 362 Omani ownership and partnership companies operating in the emirate, the Council plays a crucial role in advancing economic cooperation. It supports its members in navigating regulatory frameworks, identifying growth opportunities, and building meaningful partnerships that drive sustainable business development across both markets.

Mission & Mandate

The Oman Business Council is dedicated to enhancing economic cooperation and strengthening trade relations between the business communities of Oman and the UAE, with a particular focus on Dubai and the Northern Emirates.

• Facilitate Business Opportunities: Create and strengthen bilateral business connections between Omani and UAE enterprises across diverse economic sectors

• Member Support & Development: Provide members with comprehensive market insights, regulatory guidance, and consultation services to support business growth and expansion
