About

The Dubai Council for Marine and Maritime Industries (DCMMI) is a specialized non-profit industry council established in 2013 to advance the interests of the marine and maritime sector in Dubai and the United Arab Emirates. As an umbrella organization, DCMMI represents a comprehensive cross-section of the UAE's maritime industry, including offshore and engineering firms, ship repair and maintenance facilities, shipbuilding and conversion yards, rig builders, chandlery services, and yacht manufacturing companies. The council brings together operators, ship owners, charterers, marine legal service providers, ship managers, brokers, P&I clubs, port operators, marine insurance companies, classification societies, and marine consultants under one cohesive platform.

DCMMI plays a vital role in positioning Dubai and the UAE as a global hub for marine and maritime industries and services. The council facilitates meaningful networking among industry partners, promotes business collaboration and integration, and serves as a unified voice for the sector in dialogues with government entities and regulatory bodies. By focusing on excellence, investment attraction, and talent development, DCMMI supports Dubai's status as one of the world's premier ship repair and shipbuilding centers and a leader in offshore engineering, FPSO/FSO conversions, and rig building operations.
