About

The Dubai Business Women Council (DBWC), established in 2002 under the umbrella of Dubai Chamber of Commerce, is the UAE's premier platform dedicated to the personal and professional development of businesswomen in Dubai. As a nonprofit organization, DBWC serves as a vital networking and growth hub for employed women, including business owners, entrepreneurs, senior managers, executives, and professionals across both government and private sectors.

DBWC plays a crucial role in Dubai's business ecosystem by providing exclusive educational programs, tailored workshops, and strategic networking opportunities designed to enhance members' skills and business knowledge. The Council addresses key challenges faced by women entrepreneurs through specialized initiatives including the sAIdaty AI education program (in partnership with Oracle), comprehensive mentorship matching services, accelerator programs, and industry-specific roundtables. With a membership base spanning UAE nationals and expatriates, DBWC facilitates meaningful connections through in-person and virtual events, conferences, and forums held across Dubai, the UAE, and the broader region.

Since its establishment, the Council has been instrumental in advancing gender parity and encouraging women to play active roles in economic development. Through partnerships with leading international organizations and corporations including Oracle, Canon, Publicis Groupe, and Schneider Electric, DBWC creates opportunities for bilateral collaborations and provides members with access to global markets, positioning Dubai's businesswomen at the forefront of regional and international business communities.

Mission & Mandate

The Mission of the DBWC encompasses many aspects of the lives of business women both in society and the economy. The Council is committed to supporting Dubai's business and professional women who are driven to achieve success on both national and international fronts, to increase their contribution to the economy and the productivity of both Dubai and the UAE, and to promote and shape economic development across all sectors and areas of the business community.

Core Objectives:

• Enhance Gender Parity: Dedicate efforts to advancing gender equality in society and encouraging women to play an active role in building the country and stimulating sustainable development

• Professional Development: Provide strategic education, training, and networking opportunities to aid in achieving holistic development and meeting career aspirations of UAE-based businesswomen (both Emirati and expatriates)

• Networking & Collaboration: Build a superior networking platform for women to expand and improve opportunities for growth through the exchange of knowledge and expertise, both locally and internationally

• Representation & Advocacy: Represent and promote DBWC in local and international conferences and forums, identifying key issues and advocating responsible action to address the well-being of women as entrepreneurs and in the workforce

• Knowledge Sharing: Host exclusive workshops, seminars, industry forums, and accelerator programs that provide valuable information about the latest knowledge, skills, and best practices for women entrepreneurs and leaders

• Cultural Understanding: Promote tolerance and cultural understanding through strategic initiatives that strengthen bonds amongst business and professional women in Dubai and serve as a catalyst for positive action through collective community advocacy
