About

The Emirates Environmental Group (EEG) is a pioneering non-governmental organization established in 1991 in Dubai, dedicated to environmental protection through education, action programs, and community involvement. As the UAE's leading environmental NGO, EEG serves a diverse membership base that includes corporations, government agencies, educational institutions, families, and individuals of all nationalities. The organization holds the distinction of being the first environmental NGO in the world to receive ISO 14001 certification and maintains accredited status with the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP).

EEG plays a vital role in Dubai's business ecosystem by providing a comprehensive platform for environmental sustainability and corporate social responsibility. Through its extensive waste management campaigns, the organization facilitates the recycling of paper, plastic, aluminum cans, glass, toners, mobile phones, e-waste, and scrap metals, helping businesses meet their sustainability targets while reducing their environmental footprint. The group also organizes educational programs, panel discussions, and networking events that bring together stakeholders from across sectors to address pressing environmental challenges and share best practices.

With over three decades of experience and a network spanning more than 2,000 volunteers across the UAE, EEG continues to be a driving force in advancing the UAE's sustainability agenda. The organization's commitment to implementing UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly in areas of sustainable cities, responsible consumption, climate action, and effective partnerships, makes it an essential partner for businesses seeking to enhance their environmental credentials and contribute to the UAE's vision for a sustainable future.
