The Dubai Business Group for Gold and Jewelry Designers (DBGGJD) is a non-profit organization established in early 2024 as a strategic initiative by Dubai Chamber of Commerce. The group serves as a dedicated support platform for jewelry designers based in the United Arab Emirates, addressing a critical gap in the industry by providing comprehensive guidance, resources, and advocacy to help designers navigate challenges and achieve sustainable growth.

Operating with a two-year board mandate, DBGGJD unites local and regional talent in the jewelry design sector through networking opportunities, educational programs, and strategic partnerships with leading industry organizations. The group facilitates vital dialogue between jewelry designers and government entities, serving as a conduit for addressing policy matters, enhancing industry competitiveness, and fostering a conducive business environment. With partnerships spanning legal services, gemological institutes, media agencies, and international jewelry schools, DBGGJD provides members access to world-class resources and expertise.

• Advocacy & Policy Development: Champion policy changes beneficial to the jewelry design industry and facilitate two-way dialogue between designers and government entities to enhance sector competitiveness

• Business Development Support: Provide comprehensive assistance with business setup, including trade license issuance, bank account opening, and navigating regulatory requirements

• Education & Skills Enhancement: Deliver professional training workshops and access to specialized gemological education through partnerships with international institutions including Gübelin Academy, IGI, HRD Antwerp, and Le Arti Orafe Florence

• Market Access & Exposure: Create opportunities for designers to showcase work at local and international exhibitions with reduced fees, complemented by media coverage and promotional support through partner platforms

• Industry Recognition: Organize the annual Dubai International Jewelry Design Competition and facilitate participation in global forums to elevate designer profiles and celebrate excellence
